FAQs

Rewind Dreamland FAQ's below:

Do I need ID?

Most of our events have age restrictions, in which case you will need to provide proof of age on entry. Please refer to the individual event page for the age restrictions of that specific event. When purchasing alcohol, if you appear to be under the age of 25, you may be asked for proof of age. We reserve the right to refuse to serve you alcohol if you do not have valid photographic ID.
Acceptable forms of ID to prove you are over 18 include:
• A photo driving licence
• A passport
• A proof of age card, such as the PASS card from the national Proof of Age Standards Scheme.

Our security teams can also accept the YOTI app

Are there age restrictions for the music events in 2025?

Most of our live music events have age restrictions.
Please check the individual event listings on our What’s On page to find out what the age restriction for particular events is set at.

Where an age restriction is put in place, for example ‘This is a 14+ event’ this means that anyone under the age of 14 cannot attend, regardless of whether they are with an adult or not.

Where there are age restrictions allowing under 18’s to attend an event, the under 18 must always be accompanied by and adult over the age of 18. (adult refers to a parent, guardian or older relative that is responsible for the care and actions of the under 18 year old.).

PLEASE NOTE: The ratio for adult to child is classed as 1 adult can accompany 2 under 18’s at an event.

What security measures will you have in place at the outdoor events?

Dreamland is a responsible licenced event venue where the safety and security of our guests is a top priority.

The event management team, together with our security and medical providers, work closely with the emergency services to provide a safe place from which to enjoy live entertainment.

Each event is risk assessed and audience profiled to ensure we have relevant security measures in place. These details are communicated to Kent Police in advance of the event and can include covert officers, drug detection dogs, general purpose patrol dogs, various levels of personal and bag searches, age identification and Security Industry Authority (SIA) officers.

Our entire site is covered by CCTV which is viewed and recorded from a dedicated Operations Control. Additionally, all our security officers wear Body Worn Video devices.

We urge our guests to help us ensure that Dreamland maintains its high standards of safety by alerting a member of staff or security should you see something that doesn’t look right or an incident that should be brought to our attention.

THERE IS ZERO TOLERENCE TOWARDS DRUGS AND THE UNDERAGE CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL AT DREAMLAND.

Can I bring a bag with me to events at Dreamland?

For events at Dreamland, bags larger than A4 ( 21 x 29.7) size are not permitted inside the venue. We advise all event goers to bring as little with them as possible when attending events, unless there are specific medical reasons which mean you need to bring a larger bag. If this is the case, please email the team at customerservices@dreamland.co.uk prior to the event you are attending for further advice.

Will there be a confiscation box at your 2025 outdoor events?

The security team may confiscate items on entry. These items will then be disposed of by the venue. There will be no opportunity to collect confiscated items post event in 2024.

Can I bring my baby to an outdoor event?

The majority of indoor and outdoor live music events at Dreamland have age restrictions. Parents and guardians are asked to carefully read the individual event information prior to booking tickets and consider if an event is suitable for the child they wish to bring. We cannot admit anyone caring for a baby at live music events that have an age restriction of 14+ or above.

We urge parents / guardians / carers to carefully consider the suitability of any live music event for the baby in their care. Loud noise levels can affect babies hearing, as their ear canals are not fully developed, and they should not be subjected to levels over 60db.

Babies are welcome at events categorised as All Ages Welcome, but they must wear ear defenders and are not permitted in close proximity to stage areas.

Dreamland cannot permit prams, carriers, pushchairs, so babies must always be carried throughout their time in the venue. Babes in arms do not need a ticket, but tickets must be purchased for children aged 2 years and older.

Here are some things to consider if you are thinking about bringing a baby to an event at Dreamland:

  • Noise levels: Concerts can be very loud, and babies’ ear canals aren’t fully developed, making them more sensitive to noise. Babies shouldn’t be exposed to noise levels above 60 decibels. All of our live music events will exceed this level.
  • Other attendees: Make sure your child doesn’t disturb other people and is safe at all times.
  • Babies have ear protection.
  • Keep far away from the front of stage and, where possible, position yourself behind the mixing desk area.
Can I use cash at the festival?

We won't be accepting any cash payments this year only debit/card and apple pay.

  1. We have invested in a robust Wi-Fi system across the site for all operators from the minute you enter the site to all bars, concessions, merchandise, fairground rides etc
  2. If this Wi-Fi system fails at all we can still run transactions off line. They will update as soon as the Wi-Fi is restored.
  3. You can pay with all debit and credit cards as well as phones and other devices.
  4. You can use apple pay etc even if you do not have phone reception.
  5. It is proven that there is a significant reduction in campsite thefts where there is no cash at festivals.
  6. It is proven that cashless speeds up service on bars and catering units.
  7. Not carrying cash on site makes it safer for all the traders and public on site and makes the site less of a security threat for all concerned.
Can I bring a refillable flask/water bottle with me?

Refillable flasks and bottles are not permitted. Free tap water is available at all bars for this event.

Can I bring medication with me to outdoor events?

If you need to take medication, please ensure you bring the relevant prescription with you or have access to the NHS app which will show the relevant details. All medications including over the counter medications such as Paracetamol will need to be checked with the medical team on site, prior to entry. If there is no relevant prescription the medication will be confiscated. Please only bring the required amount of medication for the event period in the original manufacturers packaging. If you have specific medication which requires refrigeration this can also be stored at the Medical Centre on site and must be labelled with the customer’s name and contact details.

Is there a disabled access area at the outdoor events?

Our outdoor venue is accessible and is mainly level, there is a slope to reach the accessible platform area, which is set to the back of the outdoor stage area and is on a higher level to the general admission area. The accessible platform area offers good views to the Scenic Stage but is not situated next to the Scenic Stage. Please be aware this is a no smoking area.
The outdoor and Scenic Stage area of Dreamland is mainly level. The paths are either block paved, sand or pea shingle. For Accessible Platform ticket holders, please head to the VIP / Accessible area, which can be reached via the slight slope by Rosco’s Ice Cream van. Please ask a member of the Dreamland team if you need any assistance.

Is there seating at Dreamland events?

Dreamland is a standing only venue (unless other wise stated in the specific event description) and other than the Accessible platforms available in our Hall By The Sea venue and outdoor Scenic Stage venue, there is no seating available which can be reserved or pre booked. Please be aware that the accessible platforms are strictly for accessible platform ticket holders only and proof of eligibility will be required.

Many of our events are managed by external promoters and so we often do not have full details of exactly what the production will involve until very close to the day of the show. Most of our events will contain flashing lights and use of haze as standard. We make every effort to advertise on doors of the event if this is the case.
